Autodidact visual artist with primarily work on oil painting.

Almost all owners of SmartPhones today are also a kind of visual artists, and through the social media the same people have all become a kind of designers of WebSites, and thus become Art exhibitors.
Never have so many been active producers and consumers of images!

Born in Herlev in 1955, and raised in Helsingør.

Lives today in Vanløse / Copenhagen.

Marital status: partner with Karin Blau.

Two daughters Mai and Linnea (from previous marriage)

Autodidact visual artist since 1972.

Educated Cand. Mag. in Danish and Film Science in 1984 from the University of Copenhagen.

Worked in the IT industry for 31 years - from 1986 to quit in 2017.

Passionate listener and performer of classical Piano and Irish Whistle.
- Key areas of interest since the mid-70s are various forms of meditation, and philosophy.

A GOOD PAINTING HOLDS THE PROTECTOR
There are lots of pictures, but a good painting catches the attention, and holds the viewer, so that he can not easily release it. The painting is present and relevant, without necessarily being immediately understandable!
"Today there are so many pictures, photos, so many movies, so much constantly running TV flickering, so many commercials, so many computer screens, so many mobile screens - that we are inundated with images in a daily record quantity.
Most of these images are not relevant, and they are often not very welcome.
We flood to a certain extent, and have gradually become accustomed to the image-stream flow, and ignoring it.
Anker Høyer is in the process of completing "Amsterdam Impressions".
